Testimonials

“I have recently experienced a big change in my life and I am grateful for Susan’s insight and advice during this transitioning period. Not only did she assist me with understanding my emotions during this time, she also provided me perspective and practical guidance, with the necessary empathy.  She surely is a great Counsellor! “

Parenting is the hardest job there is. The most satisfying, and loving, but hard.  Even the most outwardly poised teenager has their battles. To the outside world my child had everything, but those inner struggles would surface often and explode in anger, frustration and depression. I struggled as well and caught myself becoming a parent  I did not want to be. I found myself not able to properly support my child, or communicate with them. We would often end up in arguments that enveloped our household.

Susan’s caring demeanour and belief in her created genuine connection with my child. Her ability to connect and empower my child was far more powerful than  what I could do on my own.

Working with her has allowed them to face challenges that would have broke them previously. We are now able to work together as opposed to adding to the issue by fighting amongst ourselves.

I have always been so uncomfortable speaking with a Counsellor, like judged for my struggles. I am so grateful that my friend referred me to Susan, she is very open minded, easy to talk to, I never felt judged or uncomfortable. I highly recommend her to first timers or those that need someone new with a fresh and positive outlook.

I’m a 50 year old that had to reach out for help during a difficult time in my life, something that I never expected. Susan was so caring and comforting. She listened to me and helped me come to a decision and feel great about it. I owe so much of my new found happiness to the way Susan helped me see how I deserved to be loved, and mostly how to love myself. I am taking care of me now and forever will hold myself accountable for my own happiness.

Susan I’m forever grateful for all you’ve helped me with. I would highly recommend Susan to anyone I know.

I was at one of the lowest points in my life when I first started up regular sessions with Susan about a year ago, so much so that I couldn’t recognize myself. After the first session, I immediately felt more validated in how I was feeling but what’s more is that she gave me valuable recommendations on how to manage the stress caused by factors within and beyond my personal control. It immediately lifted a huge weight off of my chest. Since the initial session I have grown more confident in myself as an individual, I’ve learned how to conduct myself in a productive manner in my personal relationships without compromising my own wellbeing. For so long I had perceived some things in the wrong way leading to resentment and frustration, through her 1-1 cognitive behavioral therapy techniques I’ve learned new ways to manage my emotions while tending to my own wellbeing.

I was frustrated, angry, sad, and disappointed in myself because I could not explain how I was feeling. My trust issues took over and I was in a very bad head space. No one to talk to, no one understood, and it felt like no one cared. I remember on a Wednesday night near the end of august 2021, I took a huge step out of my comfort zone to talk to a total stranger about my feelings. This was and still is one of the greatest decisions I have made in my life. Susan showed me that there isn’t an end to what feels like a hard road, that it’s healthy to tell someone how your feeling and how to overcome hard obstacles. Susan’s guidance has not only helped me in hard times, but in everyday life. Whether it’s in school with my grades or on the volleyball court, I always will have Susan’s helpful voice in the back of my head telling me that it’s ok to be vulnerable and to keep my head up. Susan I am forever grateful for you and the women you have helped me turn into.
